About Us

Outdoor seating area with umbrellas overlooking a scenic view. — Westbrook Elks Lodge
Outdoor seating area with umbrellas overlooking a scenic view.

Sit on the patio at Westbrook Elks Lodge #1784 and you'll understand immediately why guests keep coming back. The Atlantic stretches out in front of you, salt air drifts across the deck, and somewhere inside someone's already laughing at a story you're about to hear for the first time. This is 142 Seaside Ave doing exactly what it was built to do.

The lodge has earned its 4.7-star reputation the hard way, one event at a time. Autumn weddings with hand-decorated tablescapes and killer ocean backdrops. Casual Friday nights where a stranger buys you a round and leaves as a regular. Members who drove past a dozen other lodges to get here and haven't looked back since. The kitchen delivers, the bar pours honest, and the staff treats everyone like they belong.

Non-members are welcome as guests, and Elks membership opens the door to a community that actually shows up for each other. Lodge #1784 supports veterans, funds local scholarships, and keeps the Connecticut shoreline a little more connected than it would be without it.

What We Offer

The lodge hosts everything from intimate dinners to full wedding receptions, with the Connecticut shoreline as a backdrop that no ballroom in the state can replicate. The restaurant and bar serve solid, satisfying food alongside a patio that becomes the best seat in Westbrook the moment the weather breaks.

Beyond the dining room, Lodge #1784 runs a full calendar of member events, charitable fundraisers, and community gatherings. Rent the space for a private party, bring a group for a weekend dinner, or simply walk in on a quiet Tuesday and find the kind of unhurried atmosphere that's genuinely hard to find on the shoreline anymore.

Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks adds another layer entirely: national fraternal benefits, local volunteer opportunities, veteran support programs, and a built-in social network of people who take the community part seriously.

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
